Gold Glitter fills your letters with thousands of individual specks that re-scatter three times a second, the way a real glitter GIF does — because real ones are three-frame loops. Four-point sparkles twinkle across and around the word, and a warm halo sits behind it.
Want to change the colour, sparkle shape or glitter grain? Open the Glitter Text Generator — 16 palettes, 7 sparkle shapes and 8 sliders, all built on this same animation.
The glitter is not an image. A fractalNoise feTurbulence field is converted to alpha with feColorMatrix, then thresholded by an feComponentTransfer discrete table down to a sparse scatter of lit specks, flood-filled gold and masked to the shape of your letters. Three of those fields, each with a different seed, cross-fade on a steps(1) keyframe — which is why it shimmers rather than crawls. Being vector, the SVG is a few kilobytes and stays sharp at any size.
Yes — open the Glitter Text Generator studio, where all sixteen palettes, the sparkle shape and eight sliders are exposed. This page is that studio with gold already selected.
Almost always the glitter density slider. The specks fade out sharply below about a third of its range, because the underlying threshold is non-linear. Raise density, or raise glitter size for fewer but larger grains.
