Product updates for Word Animator — new studios, features, and fixes, newest first.
Greeting cards that answer when you tap them
[Fixed] Tapping anywhere on a shared card now moves it to the next moment — before, only one small part of the picture responded, and the words telling you to tap did nothing at all. Open
[Improved] Cards now play through on their own if nobody taps, so a card you send always tells its whole story — tapping just moves it along faster.
[Fixed] Saving a card as video no longer fails when your phone's screen turns off while it renders.
[Improved] Share links carrying a photo are far shorter, and there's a one-tap shorter link if a chat app refuses the long one.
[Fixed] A momentarily busy renderer now waits and retries instead of telling you to come back in an hour.
Image Text Editor — and your photo in greeting cards
[New] Image Text Editor: upload an invitation, poster or slide and its text becomes editable — the AI reads every word, matches the fonts, and erases the original lettering from the background. Open
[New] Retype, move, resize and restyle every text block, then export your edited design as a PNG or a crisp SVG. Open
[New] Save any upload as a reusable template — edits autosave in your browser, and templates save to a file you can reload any time. Open
[New] Add a photo to any greeting card — it opens the card in place of the initial, and on the anniversary card it fills the closing polaroid. The picture lives inside the card itself, never on a server. Open
Five new fire styles — comic flames, living fire and smoke
[New] Comic Blaze: flat comic-poster flames with chunky outlined letters and melting drips — a completely different look from the realistic burns. Open
[New] Molten Core and Wildfire fill the letters themselves with living, moving fire. Open
[New] Smoke Wisp turns your text into pale smoke that wavers and drifts. Open
[New] Letter by Letter ignites your word one character at a time — and it works as a toggle on every other fire style too. Open
[Improved] Two new fine-tuning sliders (fire texture, smoke waver) and two new fonts (Luckiest Guy, Bangers) in the Fire Studio. Open
[New] Three live-simulation fire styles rendered in real time by your browser: Cinematic Fire (GPU shader flames), Pixel Inferno (the classic arcade fire effect) and Ember Storm (your word formed from thousands of glowing particles). Open
[Improved] The style picker now leads with the most popular looks, marked with a Popular badge. Open
[New] Smoke Wisp, Cinematic Fire and Pixel Inferno all join the main word animator, near the top of the style list — the two live ones animate right in the preview and save as a PNG or a recorded video. Open
[Improved] Pick any fire style in the word animator and a "More customization here" link now takes you to that same style in the Fire Studio, with flame height, palettes, embers and smoke. Open
[Improved] Ember Storm burns with soft glowing embers instead of hard dots, and its sparks now lift away and settle back smoothly — the word reads clearly even mid-storm. Open
Fire Text Studio — set your words ablaze
[New] Fire Text Studio: cinematic flames rise off your letters, with 6 fire colours, 6 styles and full control over flame height, intensity, embers, char, glow, haze and smoke. Open
[New] Three fire styles in the word animator — Flaming Text, Burning Text and Blue Fire — each exportable as SVG, PNG, GIF, MP4 or WebM. Open
[Fixed] The Fire Letters style now exports correctly to MP4, GIF and WebM. Open
[New] New guide: where an animated flowchart beats a static diagram in engineering docs, and how to embed one. Open
Pages load reliably right after an update
[Fixed] If we shipped an update while you had the site open, opening a new studio could fail to load. It now refreshes itself and carries on. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Eight cinematic title styles, and any language you like
[New] Eight new styles built like movie and game opening titles: Star Crawl, Molten Rune, Rift Glow, Hero Steel, Arcane Sigil, Wasteland Stencil, Velocity Streak and Abyss Caustics. Open
[New] Every style now animates text in Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Tamil, Thai, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and more — type in your own script and the letters join, stack and sit the way they should. Open
[New] Emoji work in every style, including multi-part ones like 👨👩👧 and skin tones. Open
[Improved] Video and GIF exports carry your script's typeface with them, so what you download matches what you previewed. Open
[Improved] New styles are marked with a New badge in the picker and the gallery. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
A clearer flowchart studio
[Improved] Swimlanes are now named right beside the steps — rename, add or remove a lane and every step's lane picker speaks the name, not "Lane 3". Open
[Improved] When the AI builds or reads a flowchart for you, the studio now marks exactly which template it chose and why — and shows it's yours to change. Open
Drop a route onto the map, and better big flowcharts
[New] Drag a GPX, KML, TCX or GeoJSON file straight onto the map preview to import it. Open
[New] An imported trace can show its distance and elapsed time — the number counts up as the route draws, in km or miles. Open
[Fixed] Large uploaded flowcharts no longer render as overlapping bars — boxes keep real flowchart proportions at any size, and cut-off labels now end in an ellipsis. Open
[Improved] An uploaded flowchart now lands on the canvas shape it actually fits — a deep chart picks square or vertical instead of being squeezed into widescreen. Open
Faster page loads
[Improved] Every page opens faster, and the difference is biggest on a phone connection. Open
[Improved] Importing a route now adds to the stops you already have, and a new Clear button empties the map when you want to start again. Open
[Fixed] A ride recorded with a pause in it draws as separate legs, with nothing joining them across the break. Open
[New] Routes from Google Earth and Garmin devices import too — add .tcx and Google Earth track files alongside GPX, KML and GeoJSON. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Sort styles by popular
[New] Sort the style list by Recommended, Popular or A–Z, in the generator and the full gallery. Open
[New] The 25 most-used styles now carry a Popular tag, so it is obvious where to start. Open
[Improved] Every style now renders identically each time you come back to it — particles and sparkles stay where they were instead of reshuffling when you change something unrelated. Open
[Fixed] Vector Fly SVG downloads now work in editors and sites that block scripted files, so the export drops in wherever you paste it. Open
[Fixed] Progress Ring keeps its icon, percentage and label centred and clear of the ring, at every size and label length. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Glitter Text Generator
[New] A dedicated Glitter Text Generator: 16 glitter colours, 6 styles and 7 sparkle shapes, with sliders for sparkle count, glitter density, grain size, twinkle, shimmer, glow and outline. Open
[New] Six ready-made glitter styles in the main animator — gold, pink, silver, rainbow, holographic foil and falling glitter. Open
[New] A Glitter & Sparkle category in the style picker and the gallery. Open
[Improved] Glitter now fills the letters with thousands of real specks that re-scatter as they shimmer, instead of a flat gradient with stars around it. Open
[Fixed] The stars in Sparkle Glitter are stars again — they were rendering as long spikes shooting off the edge of the frame. Open
[Fixed] Confetti Pop scatters across the whole frame, and the Cinematic Lens flare sweeps through the middle of the shot. Open
[New] A page for content creators — ready-made presets for subscribe callouts, live alerts and subscriber milestones across the text, logo and infographic makers, one click from already set up. Open
[New] Real platform icons — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Facebook, Kick and X — in the icon library, with a category filter to find them quickly. Open
[New] Count Up and Progress Ring can now show an icon above the number. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Seven new flowchart shapes
[New] Seven new flowchart shapes: chevron process, staircase, matrix/quadrant, funnel, pyramid, radial hub-and-spoke, and Venn diagram. Open
[New] A BPMN-style notation option for decision trees and swimlanes, with gateway markers and event circles. Open
[Improved] Describe a process in plain English and get matched to the shape that actually fits it, from a much wider range of diagram types. Open
[Improved] Upload a photo of a matrix, funnel, pyramid or hub diagram and get the matching animated shape back, not just a generic box-and-arrow chart. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Cinematic map journeys
[New] A new Cinematic mode in the Map Animator: the camera follows your route from stop to stop, framing each leg as it goes. Open
[New] Animate a journey on a 3D globe, with the route curving across the surface the way a flight path does. Open
[New] Four map looks — Map, Earth, Dark and Minimal — including a shaded blue-marble planet. Open
[New] Vertical 9:16 exports for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, alongside the usual landscape. Open
[New] Choose the marker that travels your route: a navigation arrow, plane, car, train or boat. Open
[New] Pick your route colour, from six palettes or any colour you like. Open
[New] 1080p video exports across every studio.
[Improved] Bigger, clearer stop labels on every map animation. Open
[Fixed] Video exports now always run the full length of the animation.
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
A page for every animation style
[New] Every text style now has its own page, with what it suits and how to get the most out of it. Open
[New] Related styles on each page, so you can compare similar looks without going back to the gallery. Open
[Improved] Click the live preview to replay the animation. Open
[Improved] On phones the preview now stays on screen while you scroll the controls, so you can see every change as you make it. Open
[Improved] Studio control panels now show when there are more options below.
[Improved] Greeting cards start from clearer example names and details. Open
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Flowchart Animator
[New] Turn a list of steps into an animated process flow, decision tree, swimlane, org chart, cycle or timeline — six templates, three styles each. Open
[New] Describe a process in plain English and get a finished, fully editable chart. Open
[New] Upload a screenshot or photo of an existing flowchart and get an animated, editable version of it. Open
[New] A box-and-arrow editor for renaming steps, changing their type and repointing connections. Open
[Improved] Steps reveal in order with the connectors drawing between them, in widescreen, square or vertical.
[Improved] Every studio is reachable from the menu on small screens.
[Improved] Additional fixes and improvements.
Faster video exports
[Improved] MP4 and GIF exports are several times faster and more reliable.
[New] Blog — how-to guides and ideas for animated text, logos, infographics and maps. Open
