How this animation is built
Six keyframes run at once: abr-main holds the base, abr-cy and abr-mg offset the cyan and magenta channels in opposite directions, abr-slice1 and abr-slice2 displace horizontal bands through masks, and abr-flicker drives the instability. Separating actual colour channels — rather than tinting copies — is what makes it read as a registration error.
