Make an animated stat or chart
A stat that just appears reads as a caption. A stat that counts up from zero reads as an event — it draws the eye in the first second, which is most of the battle on a feed where people decide to keep scrolling almost instantly. The same is true of a bar chart that grows into place versus one that's just drawn flat: the motion itself is doing persuasive work, on top of the number.
A single headline number — "10,000+ customers", "98% satisfaction" — is a count-up stat: a big number that animates from zero (or from a lower value) up to the final figure, usually with a label underneath. Comparing a handful of categories calls for a bar chart, where each bar grows to its value in turn. A share of a whole (market share, budget split, completion rate) is better as a ring or donut that fills to a percentage. Don't force one data shape into another's template — the animation style should follow what the numbers actually mean.
Type the values and labels directly — no spreadsheet import needed for a handful of stats. Set the final value for a count-up, or a label/value pair per bar for a chart. Keep labels short; they need to stay legible while the bar or number is still mid-animation, not just at rest.
For a social post that autoplays and loops, keep the count-up or bar-grow short — a second or two — so it completes within a typical view before the loop restarts. For a presentation slide you're advancing manually, a slightly longer, more deliberate animation reads as more considered rather than rushed.

Animation makes a chart more persuasive, which is exactly why the underlying chart has to be sound. A bar chart whose axis starts somewhere other than zero exaggerates every difference in it, and growing those bars on screen exaggerates the exaggeration. If the real differences are small, say so — a chart that oversells gets noticed, and being caught at it costs more than the extra attention was worth.
The same applies to a count-up. Rounding 4,812 to nearly 5,000 is fine; animating a number nobody measured is not. The motion draws the eye straight to the figure, so the figure had better hold up.
For a feed, export MP4 — autoplay is silent and short, so the whole count needs to finish inside about three seconds. For a slide deck, a PNG of the final state often beats motion you cannot control the timing of. For a web page, the SVG animates by itself at a few kilobytes; the trade-offs between the formats are worth knowing before you pick.
If what you are showing is a process rather than a quantity, a chart is the wrong shape entirely — a flowchart will carry it better.
